Ceramic Media
Composition Description
Markee features media manufactured by U. M. Abrasives. U. M. Abrasives
manufactures ceramic preformed media in a variety of formulations, shapes and
sizes using the highest quality raw materials available.  Available in several
compositions allowing you to choose from the best materials suited for your parts.

P An excellent material for burnishing and coloring on all metals. Contains NO
abrasives and has extremely long wear life.

LL This versatile bond has light cutting ability and long wear life while producing
excellent surface finishes when combined with proper compound.

MC A popular bond with excellent cutting ability yet a wear rate only slightly
higher than our LL bond. Imparts a light mate finish to all metals.

FC Our fastest cutting bond Is a good choice when fast time cycles are required on
tough burr applications. A special blend of abrasives maintains good wear rates.

SC Silicon Carbide Abrasives, are blended to provide aggressive cut down and
excellent surface preparation. Used for parts to be welded or brazed.

UL Low density ceramic media is light weight (approximately 65 lbs. per cubic ft.),
and is formulated with fine abrasives for low r.m.s. preplate results.

HIGH DENSITY

HD
High Density ceramic media weighing approximately 110 lbs. per cubic foot.
HD is a very hard composition with excellent fracture resistance. Well suited for
polishing applications. Developed for use in high energy machines. Excellent results
when used with accelerated chemicals in vibratory application.

SMC Formulated for use in high energy machines. Contains ultra fine abrasives.
Very fracture resistant, provides excellent cut to wear ratio. Well suited to
vibratory use with accelerated chemicals. Weight approximately 108 lbs. per cubic
foot.
